this post is short, i’m not going to repeat what many have said about this place (see: foodiebuddha review). everyone asks, “did you ever go to her supper clubs?” – i reply no, the cost was too much. so this restaurant opened and i anxiously awaited the flavors, smells and textures. bringing my south indian friend along proved crucial as she was the best critic of them all. ordered the goat chops for appetizer – fried nicely, little meat, could use some salt and the chutney accompaniment was sparse. ordered the goat biryani for two. plenty of biryani, little spice but the accoutrement of raita, pickled lemons and onions added flair. all in all, i expected a bit more spice, salt and flavor to both dishes. the clean lines of the plate, presentation and ambience were inviting. wait for the scoutmob deal on this one.
